Psychosocial Support Center
Founded in 2021, our Psychosocial Support Center is responsible for strengthening family and community mental health through home care
It is essential to incubate Social Innovation Ecosystems that effectively connect communities with Higher Education Institutions, the Private Sector, and Governance Entities to drive these solutions, with Human Development as the primary focus.
For the Comuna Project Foundation and its Psychosocial Support Center (CAPSI), promoting, fostering, and rebuilding through the learning curve of Community Action Boards (JACs), their working groups, corporations, NGOs, grassroots collectives, and municipal secretariats organically drives endogenous development. Through education and mental health initiatives, this approach yields promising results from an initial diagnostic (pilot).
with 60 group workshops and 800 individual counseling sessions conducted in 620 households across four neighborhoods in Comuna 13 of Medellín, accumulating over 1,900 hours of work over 18 months in an action area with approximately 35,000 inhabitants of this comuna.
In this integrated approach, Comuna Project aims to replicate and scale the achievements of Comuna 13 in areas where tourism becomes the main economic activity, improving the living conditions of many more families.
