Role Objective:
Fortalecer las competencias To strengthen logical and mathematical skills in girls aged 9 to 13, using creative and real-life approaches. This role aims to build confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities as essential tools for empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver age-appropriate and context-sensitive math lessons.
Foster critical thinking and logic through participatory learning strategies.
- Promote critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving through participatory activities.
- Incorporate playful methodologies and tech tools when available.
- Collaborate with teachers of other subjects (English, Kung Fu, psychosocial team) for a cohesive curriculum.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
Requirements:
- Degree in education, mathematics, or a related field.
- Teaching experience with children and preferably in vulnerable or community-based settings.
- Strong gender and social sensitivity with a passion for transformative education.
- Availability to teach weekly in Comuna 13, Medellín.
