Psychosocial Support Center
Founded in 2021, our Psychosocial Support Center is responsible for strengthening family and community mental health through home care
Since 2020, COMUNA PROJECT has been providing free and quality education to our communities, as it is the best tool for the comprehensive development of our beneficiaries.
In 2024, we are promoting social entrepreneurship and income generation for our communities in Medellín through SAVE tourism (Scientific, Academic, Volunteer, Educational). leveraging the potential of the inhabitants of each Action Polygon.
As a contribution to the SDG goals, Comuna Project, in 2024, is replicating and scaling actions in three territories of Medellín: Comuna 13 San Javier, Comuna 3 Manrique, and Corregimiento San Cristóbal. As a social innovation laboratory, we design and incubate tailored ecosystems. de las Potentialities and socio-community assets specific to each area of action, through which properly categorized metrics are built in accordance with local, departmental, and national development plans. In this regard, our ecosystems contribute to the SDG goals as follows:
SDG 3 Health and Well-Being. CAPSI provides psychosocial support to beneficiaries and their families. It also conducts training workshops on preventing domestic violence, parenting guidelines, new masculinities, child labor prevention, and adaptation processes to new living environments.
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. The Nomadic School and CAPSI enhance the employability of our beneficiaries through our business collaboration networks, thereby improving the living conditions of their families.
SDG 4: Quality Education. Comuna Project's Nomadic School offers free and high-quality training in Social Entrepreneurship, Business Management, English Language, and Environmental Sustainability, aligned with our theory of change and triple sustainability approach.
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. We promote responsible and environmentally friendly tourism in Medellín, supporting our entrepreneurs and beneficiaries in their triple sustainability projects, creating added value through recycling and the reuse of recyclable waste.
SDG 5: Gender Equality. Eighty percent of the individuals benefiting from our educational programs and psychosocial support are women. All initiatives are developed with a differential approach that reduces unpaid domestic labor hours and integrates effective support with groups, collectives, and organizations led by women for women.
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Through joint efforts with universities, the public and private sectors at both national and international levels, Comuna Project strengthens each of its processes to contribute to the overarching goal: improving people's living conditions through education and mental health.
